Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of multiple construction projects simultaneously, including but not limited to fuel systems, retail build-outs, renovations, and site work.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Attend and conduct job site meetings, client walkthroughs, and coordination meetings to ensure work is progressing per schedule and contract specifications.
- Develop and manage project budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement schedules.
- Engaging good communication skills with clients, Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Monitor field progress daily and coordinate with Superintendents to identify and resolve any delays, quality concerns, or safety issues.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, local building codes, and client requirements.
- Drive accountability through clear communication, performance tracking, and timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Estimators and Service teams during pre-construction to ensure accurate handoffs and effective project startup.
- Forecast manpower and resource needs and adjust schedules as needed to meet project milestones.
- Ensure punch lists are completed and projects are closed out efficiently and to the satisfaction of the client.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground and aboveground fuel storage tanks, piping systems, and fuel dispensing equipment according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Perform tank removals, upgrades, and new system installations, including fiberglass and steel tank systems, sumps, piping, and containment components.
- Conduct pressure and leak tests on fuel systems, ensuring systems are compliant with environmental and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and manufacturer manuals to ensure proper installation and compliance.
- Operate a variety of tools and heavy equipment including trenchers, backhoes, and concrete saws as needed for excavation and system installation.
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors on job site schedules, inspections, and quality control checks.
- Complete required documentation such as service reports, installation checklists, and job site safety forms in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition and report any deficiencies to supervisors.
- Travel to job sites across the region as needed, occasionally including overnight stays depending on project scope and location.

Aventura Construction is seeking a Senior Service Technician to support our growing portfolio of petroleum fueling system projects. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning fueling system infrastructure, including storage tanks, dispensing equipment, piping systems, and related electrical components.
The technician will lead field service operations, supervise junior technicians, maintain service documentation, and interface with clients, inspectors, and project managers to ensure systems operate safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
We welcome both experienced professionals and motivated entry-level candidates who are interested in building a career in the fueling systems industry. Entry-level hires will participate in a paid training program with clear opportunities for advancement.
System Inspection, Testing & Repair
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, service, and repair of:
- Underground & aboveground storage tank systems (UST/AST)
- Submersible Turbine Pumps (STPs)
- Fuel dispensers and card reader systems
- Leak detection systems (electronic and mechanical)
- Piping sumps and containment systems
- Overfill prevention and spill containment equipment
- Tank monitoring systems (Veeder-Root, Omntec, or equivalent)
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct hydrostatic testing, line testing, sump testing, and functionality testing in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Perform system start-ups, commissioning, and compliance verification.
Technical & Operational Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
- Identify safety, environmental, and regulatory risks and implement corrective actions.
- Lead field service work and mentor junior technicians.
- Interface with inspectors, facility managers, and project managers.
- Provide scope clarification and recommendations for additional work when deficiencies are discovered.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage documentation and site-specific contract requirements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience servicing petroleum fueling systems preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills
- Experience in transit authority, municipal, or high-compliance environments preferred
- Manufacturer training such as Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder-Root, Omntec is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30
- Confined Space Training
- HAZWOPER (40-hour preferred)
- State or county tank testing licenses
- FDNY certifications (P-02 or equivalent where required)
